Medium Organizer

 My Organization Secret!

It's no secret that I am an embellishment "collector" ;) The Close to My Heart medium organizer is one of five sizes that work wonderfully for scrapbook supplies, photos, and much more!

In my personal organizer I have used the individual dividers to separate my multitude of embellishments in order to make my chaos a little less chaotic! LOL!

It is also perfect for holding 4x6 (standard photo size) photos, and Picture My Life - Pocket Scrapbooking cards (CTMH version of Project Life). 

I've seen it used for other things as well, such as quilting supplies, and costume jewelry for kids to name a few.

Thank you - Shimmer Trim pizazz

My Favorite Embellishment!!!

Everyone who knows me knows that I use shimmer trim on practically EVERYTHING!!! In my opinion it's the best way to add an embellishment to a project without being overly bulky or girly.

In this project I used shimmer trim to "dress up" these thank you cards I was sending out. It takes the card from plain and simple to cute and elegant!

It is easy to use, all you have to do is peel off the plastic backing and stick it down like tape! Some of the amazing things about shimmer trim is that it doesn't shed glitter guts everywhere (WHOOP!) AND each spool comes with 5yards!!! So plenty of sparkly fun to go around!

The colors I used today are:

-Black Shimmer Trim

-Coral Shimmer Trim

-Green Shimmer Trim

-Silver Shimmer Trim

I am most certainly a messy scrapper! I never fail to get ink, glue, or anything else crafty all over myself and my workspace. BUT with the all purpose mat I can now clean up easy!!! Not to mention the Versa Mat allows me to have less supplies on the table for stamping, meaning less things to get messy!

Which inks should I use?

I often receive the question "which type of ink should I use?" or "what is the difference between the exclusive ink pads, and the pigment ink?" This video is my go to! Close to My Heart does a great job discussing the advantages as well as differences between using the different types of inks.

Personally I use our water based exclusive ink pads more. Mostly because I grew up with these, and the other reason is because the ink pads are larger so can cover your stamps quicker.

But there are many advantages, techniques you can do between the two types of inks! Check out the video!
