Why I joined Close to My Heart...

Howdy! My name is Mandy Petty; I am a proud Texas A&M University alumni, the Operations Support Administrator with Lexus Headquarters, as well as a Close To My Heart Consultant. I became a consultant after growing up with Close To My Heart and their products since I was 10-years old. I joined under my mom, Noreen Petty, who has been my inspiration in joining this wonderful company. Together, we have traveled to share our products with friends, customers, and family in order to help preserve happy memories! 

   My decision behind joining Close To My Heart began in the fall of 2012. As a freshman at Texas A&M I took many photos of my experiences in the Corps of Cadets and my life as a college student. This was no different than any other time in my life except, that I no longer had my mom to preserve my memories for me. I began scrapbooking at school using our online program, Studio J; this helped me to remember my fun times at school while working as a type of therapy. Due to living on a “college budget” I began listening to my mom’s mentoring talks behind the incentives to signing up. By becoming a consultant I would able to receive a discount on my Studio J pages and products as well as earn a little extra cash. This was where the seed was planted; little did I know how fast it would grow…

   Coming home for Summer Break I was geared up for our June travels! With my mom and dad we traveled from Houston, Dallas and even Viva Las Vegas, to spread the creations of Close To My Heart. I have worked expos with my mom for the past 5 years and this was the first year that I ran the Houston booth without her. It was during this expo that I met a few of my current downline and was further inspired to become a consultant myself!

   My mission with Close To My Heart is to help spread the happiness of scrapbooking memories with all generations! I hope to share Studio J with every one of my current and future friends, so that they may know the joy of looking back and reminiscing on past moments, just like I have been able to my whole life. I hope to give everyone a Happily Ever Craft!

Being a Close to My Heart consultant is EASY and FLEXIBLE; you get to decide how much you want to do, a little or a lot. The way I look at it, there are three different types of consultants: the Customer Consultant, Hobbyist, and the Business Builder.

A Customer Consultant joins CTMH to get a discount on all of their purchases. This is for someone who loves CTMH and orders frequently or places several big orders throughout the year. Joining would allow them to get a discount and not have to contact anyone with their order, basically cutting out the middle-man while saving money.

A Hobbyist is someone who loves the products and tends to place orders with a group of their friends. A Hobbyist becomes the consultant of their group, the one that collects and places the orders. A Hobbyist would probably set up a monthly crop, so everyone can get together to socialize, and create. By becoming a consultant, they not only receive a discount on all of their own purchases, but they would collect the discount on all of the orders that they place, therefore allowing them to be paid for their time and efforts.

The Business Builder is someone that joins to earn extra income, earn an incentive tip, teach people how to make projects, and host events. A Business Builder wants to develop this into a career or to supplement their income.
